There is a tide in the affairs of men,
Which, taken at the flood, leads on to fortune;
Omitted, all the voyage of their life
Is bound in shallows and in miseries.
On such a full sea are we now afloat,
And we must take the current when it serves,
Or lose our ventures.

DIRECTOR’S NOTES
____

It’s good to be back! And it’s good to be working on Julius Caesar again, for the third time in our history. We first performed this play in 2009 with a cast of about 45 at the Theatre on San Pedro Square. We came back to it in 2015, with about 30 in the cast, at the Hoover Theatre, our usual “home” for the past 10 or 11 years. In 2022, we return after a long, frustrating break, to perform the same show in a very different way at our small studio theatre inside Building 1 at Houge Park.

We hope you’ll be able to join us–there will be four performances only, with limited seating. The running time of the show will be 2 hours, with one 15-minute intermission. Our snack bar will be open and families are very welcome!

Bob Rumsby, Director
