Houge Park Studio
I look forward to seeing you all tomorrow. Please bring some snacks if you have time or inclination. We need to have a Houge-warming party :-)- Mr. R.
I hope you are all enjoying the holiday season. A belated Merry Christmas to all and Happy New Year (almost)!
The good news is that the Houge Park work is about done, and we can get back together next Saturday, January 4th. All of our stage pieces, props, and so on were moved out of the building while the floor was being redone, so the first order of business is to move everything back into place. I would like some volunteers to meet me at the park at 11 a.m. to take care of this.
We also need to finish off our series of Tempest workshops and start casting the production. Here is my proposed schedule for Saturday:
- 11 am: Organize room and rehearse workshop scenes for the last time
- 1 pm: Present workshop scenes to friends and family (all welcome)
- 2 pm: Start reading through The Tempest (scripts will be available)
We would finish at about 4 pm. Let me know if this schedule doesn’t work for you, especially if you are involved in one of the workshop scenes.
Regular meetings and rehearsals will continue every Saturday through January, February, March, and April. Performances of The Tempest will occur during the week of April 21st to 27th. I plan to cast the play by January 18th.
Thanks and I look forward to seeing you again on the 4th.
